Zach Waddington is 18 years old and is currently living in the Wirral.

Zach's acting journey started in 2016 while training at The Hammond School in Chester where he performed in such performances as Conkerquences (A TIE production going around local primary schools), An Inspector Calls (playing Eric Birling), The Railway Children ( as Mr Perks) as well as showcases with scenes from Bouncers, Midsummer Night's Dream, Blackadder and new writings by the talented teachers of the acting department. Zach has a love for adaptations from classic children's stories such as the ones he has performed in.

In year 11 (and onwards), Zach started to perform in the highest amateur dramatic companies from Chester and the surrounding areas: Shows include The Witches (Bruno Jenkins), Brassed Off (Shane), Oliver! (Dodger), Sound of Music (Kurt), La Boheme (Parpignol), Bugsy Malone (Fat Sam) as well as taking on many solos in concerts.

After Zach finished his GCSEs, he went into LIPA Sixth Form College undertaking a UAL Extended Diploma. Zach has really enjoyed his time at LIPA and believed that this was a brilliant way for him to learn more skills as a performer. He has been challenged with many Showcases working on scenes from Kissing Sid James, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Waiting for Godot as well as his devised performance playing the Wannabe Jock in Not Another High School Musical 2: Without music (We're not in this together).

He has also been given the opportunity to get involved in an outdoor dance performance celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Beatles rooftop gig and workshops and industry talks from Told by an Idiot, Homotopia, Peter Capaldi, Ugly Bucket Theatre and more.

During this time, Zach has worked behind the scenes starting off at his College by having the opportunity to be ASM in a devised production of Swallows and Amazons taking place at the Aintree family fun day in June 2019. Since then he has been Assistant Director and stage crew with the professional theatre company Action Transport Theatre as well as props assistant, stage crew and stage management roles with amateur productions around his area.

Zach has also started playwrighting and is currently creating his first one act show 28, telling stories about Section 28. He strives to tell anyone who listens about the struggle LGBTQ+ people have went through over the years and to shed light on his own experiences as a young Trans man.

In September, Zach is going to Rose Bruford on the new course, theatre for social change. He hopes he can put more skills to work with his ideas for bringing new work to audiences.
